Erik and Chuy Flores

Coming from a long line of mechanics, including his father, Erik Flores has found a career turning wrenches and running diagnostics at our Quincy, Washington shop. Erik (pictured right) saw the great crew his father works with and joined the Beef Northwest team two years ago. Erik came to us with a mechanical and welding background that fit perfectly into our Shop Mechanic position. Erik grew up in Ephrata, WA and loves listening to music and powerlifting when he is not fixing u-joints or running diagnostics for us. His other passions besides mechanics include studying his family’s roots from the Jalisco, Mexico area and learning about Hispanic traditions.

His father Chewy (Jose) Flores gets his mechanical aptitude from the commodity trucks he drives and works on every day. Chewy (pictured left) has been with us for eight years as a commodity truck driver and is now our trucking lead. His can-do attitude and willingness to help and train anyone on the yard make him a key employee that showcases the BNW culture. Chewy loves the hustle and bustle and flexibility of feedyard life. He truly enjoys the guys he works with and appreciates the hands-off management approach from Manager Ben Velasquez. His days off are spent at the local lakes, fishing for walleye or bass with his wife.

Thank you, Flores family, for all your hard work! Feeding cattle goes beyond the bunk with Beef Northwest.
