Edgar Altamirano is the Maintenance Supervisor at our Boardman, Oregon location. He has been with us for the past 21 years, starting with the feeding crew in 1994. Edgar’s duties include ensuring our pens are in good condition to receive livestock, prepping the yards for inclement weather, ensuring cattle have adequate and clean water, and maintaining feed yard fencing. All of these duties are essential to feedlot production and sustaining prime conditions for our cattle.
Over the years Edgar has continuously set goals to improve both personally and professionally. This has included attending continuing education classes in safety, leadership, and welding at Blue Mountain Community college. Edgar welcomes the challenges Beef Northwest presents him and has honed his leadership abilities by tackling them head on.
Edgar says he enjoys his work and the people he is around at Beef Northwest. He’s local to Boardman and is happy to have found a long-term career so close to his hometown. In his spare time, he enjoys all that the area offers and likes fishing and riding quads with family. His work ethic and great attitude have been an asset to our team.
Thank you, Edgar!
