We are thrilled to have Karla Jimenez, a local Boardman native, on our Beef Northwest Cattle Crew. She graduated from Riverside High school and currently is working towards completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
In her spare time between work and school, she volunteers her time to coach 3rd- 6th grade volleyball and 5th-12th grade girls’ basketball. She loves being a coach for both sports and finds it rewarding to watch the teams develop and improve their skills as the season goes on.
Cattle have not been a part of Karla’s background, but she has quickly been integrated into our culture of Beef Northwest. She has spent the last three years working in Human Resources and said, “One of the yard managers told me a couple weeks into the job that cattle and people are the same. We treat cattle, like we would people. With patience, care, compassion, and respect. Having worked in HR I understand that perspective.”
Karla is our HR Coordinator based out of the Boardman feed yard and helps with hiring and safety programs at the yards. She is looking forward to learning more about the industry and being a resource to the team at Beef Northwest.
Welcome Karla!
